Aikido is a martial art created by Morihei Ueshiba. The word Aikido can be translated as "the path of energy and "harmony". The main characteristic of Aikido is to use the other's energy to neutralize the opponent, preferably without hurting, and avoiding the conflict and the aggression. Aikido includes training with and without weapons, focusing on the etiquette, the respect, and the good practices of budo.
The training of Aikido gives balance, flexibility, precision, and coordination, among others. In children, it promotes the respect and the education, while they perform physical activity.
